At AllChild, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to thrive. Through our Impact Programme, we work alongside children, young people and families to provide early support, helping them build confidence, resilience and the skills they need to flourish both in and out of school.

At the heart of this work are our dedicated Link Workers. Based within schools, they become trusted members of the community, working closely with children, families and school staff to understand individual needs and strengths. By building meaningful relationships, Link Workers help families access the right support, opportunities and experiences before challenges reach crisis point.

What makes our approach unique is our strong connection to the local community. Our Link Workers work collaboratively with hyper-local partners, including libraries, parks, fire stations, community groups and local organisations, creating opportunities that help children and families feel connected, supported and inspired.

During school holidays and half terms, we work closely with local schools and community partners to deliver a wide range of exciting activities for children and families. From cooking sessions, gardening projects and arts and crafts workshops to football tournaments, outdoor activities and community events, there is something for everyone to enjoy. We also organise memorable trips and experiences, including visits to London’s museums, local zoos and behind-the-scenes stadium tours, giving children opportunities to explore new places, learn new skills and broaden their horizons.

We are also fortunate to work with a fantastic range of AllChild partners who bring specialist activities and support directly to our children and families. These opportunities have included woodworking, yoga, circus skills, drama workshops, arts and crafts, academic tutoring, sports programmes and therapeutic support. By offering such a diverse range of experiences, we help children discover new talents, build confidence, develop life skills and engage in activities they may otherwise never have had the opportunity to access.

These activities do more than provide fun experiences—they help children build confidence, develop friendships, improve wellbeing and create lasting memories. They also offer families valuable opportunities to connect with their local community and access support in a welcoming and positive environment.
